Can you really get-rich-quick internet marketing? Yes and no. Yes, you can get unbelievably rich, but no it won’t be quick (unless of course, you think that “quick” means in a year or so).

Of course, another thing to consider when asking can you “get-rich-quick internet marketing” is what you consider to be “rich”?

If your idea of rich is making a six-figure income you may well be able to do that in six months. Is that a likely scenario for someone just starting out? No. Is it possible? Yes.

You see I’ve been making a full-time living online for a long time now and one thing I see over and over again is that so many people don’t really understand what internet marketing is or how to do it properly.

The internet provides virtually unlimited possibilities for those who know what they are doing, but too few people actually take the time to learn the skills they need to capitalize on that potential.

It never ceases to amaze me how many people think they can just set up a blog or website and the money will start rolling in. In what other career do you think people would think like that?

How many people think that they can just open an auto repair shop, even though they know nothing of how to repair a car, and they will be rich in a few weeks? I’m pretty sure the answer to that is “no one”.

But you see it all the time online, people just aren’t willing to invest the time to learn the skills to be successful, and they don’t treat their internet business like a real business but rather more like a hobby.

So, what is the true secret to getting rich online? Well, here is a list of some things you need to do to make that dream a reality:

1. Take your time. An online business, much the same as an offline business, will take time to get off the ground. It usually won’t take as long online as it would off, but it will take time for your business to gain momentum and customers.

2. Learn the skills. You don’t need a degree or to go back to college, but you do need to know the basics and continue to learn more as you go. There are a lot of places online where you can sign up and get the basic knowledge you need to get started.

Most of these online training courses can be completed in a week or two (possibly even less depending on how much time you can devote to it).

Once you know the basics you can start your online career.

Sometimes you can actually start building your business while you are in the training. Often, the training is set up to teach you one concept, and then you can implement that concept, then you go on and learn another concept and implement that concept, etc.

So you see, it is possible to make a lot of money online, and you can do it quickly and with a very small initial investment, but the whole idea of getting rich quick internet marketing is misleading.
